DRUG ADDICTION - DEATH BY ECSTASY

Following are two experiences of deaths of youngsters, very sad stories that would have been prevented had the dad and mom and their kids been armed with the instruments of knowledge. Coroner's report

Eighteen-yr-previous female who attended a rave party between the hours of 2230 and 0230 hours at a vacant lot. Mother of decedent picked her up at which period the decedent appeared to be underneath the influence. Mother drove straight to Good Samaritan Hospital the place decedent advised employees that she had taken three Ecstasy drugs at the party. Decedent saved in ER and monitored until about 0800 when she was launched with doctor telling the mom that she would probably sleep for 18 hours and wake up with a headache. Decedent unable to get to automotive on her personal and seemed to sleep your entire journey house to Sylmar. Decedent put to bed and checked on each half-hour or so by family. When checked on at about 1600 hours she was discovered not breathing so family known as 911. Decedent taken to Olive View Hospital where she was declared useless in the ER at 1701 hours.

Coroner's report

On 7/eleven/01 shortly after 2000 Hrs the decedent, a 12 12 months previous, was given ½ an “Ecstasy” tablet by her sixteen 12 months old boyfriend during a kiss. Shortly after they had intercourse, then ate and watched TV. At roughly 2130 Hrs she started convulsing, vomited then passed out. 911 was known as and paramedics responded to the scene. They found her in full arrest, started CPR and transported her to LAC/USC. When she didn’t respond to resuscitative measures, dying was pronounced at 2312 Hrs. The boy buddy is in custody APD."Notice that it is a common technique used by young children to share their expertise," provides Ms. Young."
